On the last page of the first part of the 2019 module instructions it says 'Use alignment tool to set proper rotation'. That would be fine if I could find the alignment tool in either part of the instructions. Have I just missed it, is it missing or is it a standard tool I don't know about?

Here's what I have from John Brost, the designer: When we fired up [someone]'s copy of the module, it kicked the balls rather than gently lifting them. Most of them bounced out of the module. The stepper had a definite hitch in the mechanism. After studying it for a while, I finally figured out that the upper and lower crank arms were not parallel, causing a distinct jerking motion rather than a smooth lift. When he put the motor & gear assembly onto the module, he didn't get them aligned perfectly. He was probably 1 tooth off. It's a problem we're going to face in the workshop. I put together a small alignment tool that will help us make sure they get aligned correctly (pictures attached). It slides into the crank from the side opposite the motor and locks it in place while the motor & gear assembly is installed. I don't think this is something we need to add to the build or instructions, but we will need to have several copies during the workshop to help builders when they get to that step.

Many thanks for the prompt response. That looks simple enough to make so I'll do that before I start the main build.
